HEROES & HOUNDS
The Gweedo Memorial Foundation and Debbie Leanne Portraits are excited to launch Heroes & Hounds, a special fundraising photography project celebrating the incredible men and women who serve and protect our communities—and the dogs who are always waiting for them at home.
Behind every uniform is a story. Join us in celebrating our community heroes and the loyal companions by their side.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Law Enforcement & K9 Officers
Firefighters
EMTs & Paramedics
911 Dispatchers
School Resource Officers
Military Members & Veterans
Other members of our public-safety community
HOW IT WORKS
Make a $50 donation directly to the Gweedo Memorial Foundation and participate in a professional portrait session with Debbie Leanne Portraits.
Come in uniform and make it yours!
Bring your dog or K9 partner.
Bring your patrol car.
Bring the fire truck.
Bring the ambulance.
Bring your partner.
Every participant will receive an edited professional portrait to keep and have the opportunity to be featured in our Heroes & Hounds Community Heroes Digital Gallery.
COULD YOU BE ONE OF THE FEATURED 13?
13 special images will be selected for the inaugural Heroes & Hounds Calendar — one cover and 12 monthly features!
The Featured 13 will be selected based on their story, service, connection with their dog, and the impact of their photograph.
Calendar spots cannot be purchased.
A portion of calendar proceeds will benefit our featured heroes’ organizations.
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
First responders are there when the worst happens. They see firsthand what happens after the crash.
The Gweedo Memorial Foundation was created in memory of my 16-year-old son, Conner, who was killed in a preventable teen driving crash in 2019.
Today, we work to prevent the next tragedy through teen and parent driver-safety education, community outreach, and legislative advocacy.
They respond after the crash.
We work to prevent the next one.
